"Warwick in Bloom Recognizes Fischer’s Auto Repair"

Warwick - When John and Johanna Fischer renovated the former creamery on Spring Street on its 100th birthday in 1998,
little did they know that their efforts would eventually become the catalyst that is gradually remaking that neighborhood into
the hottest new merchant area in the Village of Warwick.

Fischer’s Auto Repair, 21 Spring St., is the latest recipient of the Warwick in Bloom Community Beautification Certificate,
which acknowledges the aesthetic contributions that local businesses are making to the community with plants, flowers
and the “curb appeal” that creates a favorable first impression.

“We keep the interior of our garage super clean because we want customers to know that details are important,” said John Fischer,
who holds an ASE Certification as a master technician and an AAS degree in Automotive Engineering.
“We think that the outside of a building is just as important.”

What makes the Fischer Auto Repair building unique, however, is that its exterior changes with the seasons. During the warmer months,
visitors can view window boxes and outside planters that feature colorful annual and perennial flowering plants.

As the temperature gets colder, evergreens and holly dominate the entrance way.

“John and Johanna Fischer continue to make a beautiful statement about their neighborhood, and we wanted to let them know that the
community really appreciates it,” said Mayor Michael Newhard, who also is a member of Warwick in Bloom.

Fischer Auto Repair has become an important business on Spring Street, which has recently seen new investments in two new restaurants,
a gourmet market and a dry cleaner.
